Little girls love to play pretend  especially when it involves a charming dollhouse! This playset allows little girls to discover their very first home & provides them with tons of toddler-appropriate activities! She can act out family routines she sees every day at home, or dream up her own! For girls ages 1-4 years old.

It's called the Happy Sounds Home -- so don't be surprised; this is a toy that makes sounds. That's why you need the batteries.

Here are the sounds it makes:
-laundry being done in the washing machine, ending with a beep to indicate the washer is done
-toilet flushing
-baby laughing in the bath
-phone ringing
-doorbell ringing

The speaker is located just inside the front door, on the floor where a door mat would be. I babysit my niece fairly regularly, and I personally felt the volume of the sounds are comparable to her other sound-making toys, i.e., not too loud at all. The loudest sounds are the ringing phone and the ringing doorbell. The beep at the end of the laundry washing sound probably comes next.

The first year of your new baby’s life is an amazing time. Within just 12 months, your baby will transform from a newborn who is totally dependent on you to a toddler who is starting to walk, talk, and exhibit the first signs of independence.

During the first month, your newborn is just getting used to this big, strange new world. And you are getting used to taking care of your baby’s many needs. Below are just a few of the changes you can expect to see during your child’s first month.

It's important to remember that infants who were born prematurely won't follow these baby milestones exactly. They will likely hit each milestone according to their due date, rather than on their birthday. Babies who were born a month early will probably take an extra month to catch up to their peers.

Growth

Don’t be alarmed if your baby loses some weight during the first few days of life. Babies are born with extra body fluid and typically lose up to 10% of their birth weight before they stabilize and start gaining. By their two-week birthday, babies should be back up to their birth weight, and during the first month they’ll gain weight quickly -- putting on between a half-ounce and an ounce a day. Your doctor will check your baby’s weight gain against a growth chart during your well-baby visits, to make sure your baby is growing at the right rate.

This farm is abuzz with activity, just like the real thing. There’s so much for a child to discover and make happen. Little hands can make the barn doors open and close to the realistic sounds of “moo”, “cluck”, “neigh” and “baaa.” A haybaler delivers the hay to the top floor of the barn where a happy chicken sits on her nest. Farmer Eddie™ and your little one will be kept busy as they run the farm, build a corral, move the hay, open, close, push, turn and learn 8 new sing-along songs about daytime life on the farm! And other songs and sounds describe what nighttime on a farm is like, too. Play pieces store easily in the silo and a handy on-off switch gives parents control to turn off the sounds when playtime is done. Requires 2 AA batteries.

• Includes farm with chicken, Eddie®, horse, cow and sheep figures plus 3 fence pieces.
• Store play pieces in the silo!

Imagination & Creativity
• Lots of activities, sounds and songs encourage early role play to help kids learn what a day on the farm is like! And with a twist of the dial, different songs and sounds will help them understand what nighttime on a farm is like as well.

Fine Motor Skills
• Dropping the hay bale through the silo or placing the animal figures around the farm encourage dexterity and grasping skills for little farmhands!

Curiosity & Discovery
• As toddlers open & close doors to hear animal sounds, they’re discovering life on the farm and how their actions make things happen! - See more at:

That mainly consisted of pushing the barn down on to the base until each of the supports clicked and locked, and then attaching the back to the barn. The only thing I didn't like about the installation is that it required a Phillips head screwdriver to finish the installation. When you are done pushing and clicking all the parts you still have to install two screws into part of the barn to keep a major piece from falling off. Not sure why they didn't just build the part with a couple of tension grips or something, like they did with the rest of the toy, but that's my only complaint about that. (Also, when you build the barn it no longer fits into the box.) Little People Fun Sounds Farm
